Mark Barnes has been a member of the Skulman Dental family for 12 years. He has been a Hygienist for 22 years after graduating from The University of New Mexico with a RDH BS degree.

Prior to attending college, Mark was a member of the United States Air Force, following in his Father and Mother’s footsteps. This lifestyle meant that a move was imminent every 3 to 5 years. He has lived in so many different places around the world, his ability to connect with almost anyone is definitely a 6 degrees of separation scenario.

Mark is married to his beautiful wife, Leslie. They have a total of 3 children between them and 3 grandsons. Mark and Leslie enjoy traveling globally and learning about different cultures and ways to life. Mark likes to bike ride, ski, cook and root for his favorite sports teams.

Jana grew up in Richardson, TX and graduated from Berkner High School. She then attended the first Dental Assisting program at Collin County Community College. She has been part of the Skulman Dental family since 2005. She is in charge of Dr. Greg’s hectic schedule but also does all the ordering of supplies for the entire practice.

As a child Jana spent a great deal of time in the dental chair which led to her love of the dental field and passion to help patients. She is a comforting presence in the office due to her kindness and empathetic approach in dealing with patients.

Jana’s other loves include her family, husband Mitch, and children Mia and Hunter. Not to be forgotten is her devotion to cats and the adoption of deserted or stray animals she finds or hears about. She is a truely loving soul!

Brianna grew up in Farmers Branch and graduated from RL Turner High School. She then attended Concrode Career College and graduated from their Dental Assisting School.

Brianna joined Skulman Dental as a Dental Assistant Intern in 2013. After a short time, she realized she loved the business side of Dentistry. She trained under different office managers, ultimately proving she would be an excellent Administrator. She works closely with Dr. Wendy on all aspects of the day to day management of a busy Dental Practice.

Brianna loves building personal relationships with patients and welcoming everyone into the Skulman Dental family. She is very passionate about calming patient’s fears, answering all their questions and making treatment possible in a soothing environment.

She loves taking Continuing Education courses and keeping up with the advanced technology now prevalent in Dentistry.

When not steering the ship at Skulman Dental, Brianna loves to spend time with her family and two dogs. She enjoys music, Primetime TV and lake life in the summer.

Aeron grew up in Irving and graduated from MacArthur High School. She went to Texas Woman’s University graduating in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has worked at Skulman Dental since 2010. Other than dentistry, she is passionate about 3 things: fitness, food and her fur babies. She loves riding her bike around White Rock Lake. She is also a certified personal trainer and runs outdoor boot camp style workouts. She loves to cook and eat. She has two fur babies, a 14 year old dachshund named Stewie, and a 7 year old teacup poodle named Kozmo. Kozmo likes to come to the office and sit in the patient’s lap while they get their teeth cleaned.

Jana began her career with Skulman Dental in the late fall of 1998. It was a smaller office back
then and her duties ranged from Dental Hygienist to front desk help to occasional dental
assisting.As we transitioned to our new office, in 2003, her life transitioned as well. In 2005, she
welcomed her first child Zeke. Jackson followed in 2007.
The challenge of raising two babies at once forced her into semi retirement. In 2009 Jana and
the boys left their Oak Cliff home and relocated to the Mid- Cities. There, her loving family
provided support to allow her to continue with her Dental career. As an avid learner, Jana
began taking on more challenging roles like Consulting for 3D Printing/Scanning Dental
Technology Company and working for a Periodontal Specialist. All this training advanced her
core knowledge and love for the field of dentistry.
When Covid began shutting down facilities and uncertainty was in the air, she reached out to
her good friend and mentor, Dr. Wendy Skulman for guidance. Since circumstances had
changed for Skulman Dental as well, she was offered a position. The prospect of returning to a
great office family and community of patients was truly the best medicine! Since then it has
been noted that her experience and knowledge gained while away has been an asset to our
office. We are delighted in her full circle return!
